Description: The New Zealand Active Faults Database high-resolution scale (NZAFD-HighRes) is a national database of the locations and attributes of onshore active faults (e.g., names, ages and amounts of displacement) mapped at a range of scales between 1:500 to 1:250,000. Most have deformed the ground surface of New Zealand within the last 125,000 years. In the Taupō Rift most have deformed the ground surface within the last 25,000 years.
