In 2012, FROGTECH Pty Ltd completed a SEEBASE™ model for the New Zealand Extended Continental Shelf (NZ ECS) at a regional scale of 1:3 million. SEEBASE™ is FROGTECH's signature product, and stands for Structurally Enhanced view of Economic BASEment.
SEEBASE™ is a depth-to-basement model that represents the culmination of a number of calibration and integration steps:
• Integrated structural/kinematic interpretation
• Geophysical modelling
• Seismic and well calibration
• Integration of tectonic events and responses
The NZ ECS SEEBASE™ is a model of economic basement topography that is consistent with the structural evolution of New Zealand basement terranes and associated basins.
